Being gay myself, I feel extremely left out since nobody has so much as bothered to fill me in on what this national agenda we've got going on is! :( Unless of course you're speaking of our insideous plot to gain equal status and human rights.

The American Psychiatric Association declared that homosexuality was not a mental illness in 1972, and all they were heterosexual. We don't have a gay president, not even a governor, in any country in the world and, most important, Will and Grace and other gay-themed shows are starred by straight people. So, if living for you is an agenda, tell me what the hell is Bush exactly doing.

As gay people make up around 10% of the population, you are statistically bound to have one gay person for every nine heterosexuals anywhere in society. As media, academia, the APA, etc all have more than 10 people in them, they ought to have at least one gay person "ensconced", to represent the population. It's no more cleverness and strategy than any of the other people there.
