Evolution itself has evolved because it can't prove its premis. It used to say we came from apes that apes were our ancestor. But it has evolved in its presentation and took away that part. Now it's a common ancestor even though they can't say or show what that common ancestor was. If you follow their logic far enough every living thing including plants and animals, cells viruses esentially everything came from a common ancestor. That takes as much faith to believe as it does to believe that God just created it. Cause there is no proof of any of it.

"It used to say we came from apes that apes were our ancestor"
No, it never said that. Cretinists were too stupid to understand the theory so they dumbed it down to something they could handle.
"to believe that God just created it"
That, however, leads to the question 'Where did God come from?' There is already abiogenesis, how life originated (NOT part of evolution). Is the question of how God originated part of that or is it a separate area, that might be called adeogenesis?
"If you follow their logic far enough every living thing ... came from a common ancestor."
I know it supposed to be sarcastic, but that one of the more accurate descriptions of evolution, I saw on this site.
point is, we have plenty of proof for that.
Ignoring for a moment the sheer stupidity of holding science -- the pursuit of truth -- to religion's idiotic notion that one should NEVER reevaluate one's positions under any circumstances, the fact that your ideological ancestors were just as willfully ignorant of what the theory actually states as you are doesn't mean that when you finally acknowledge a tiny part you get to claim that the theory is what has changed.
"Evolution itself has evolved because it can't prove its premis."
Correct!
"It used to say we came from apes that apes were our ancestor. But it has evolved in its presentation and took away that part. Now it's a common ancestor"
Which is not actually true. Every last common ancesetor with any other ape species was an ape.
"If you follow their logic far enough every living thing including plants and animals, cells viruses esentially everything came from a common ancestor."
Correct!
"That takes as much faith to believe as it does to believe that God just created it. Cause there is no proof of any of it."
And you seemed so promising.
It used to say we came from apes that apes were our ancestor.
No, it didn’t. This was simply one of the first strawman arguments opponents of the ToE brought up and are embarrassingly still bringing up, see Rush Limbaugh a few days ago
If you follow their logic far enough every living thing including plants and animals, cells viruses esentially everything came from a common ancestor.
Yes, you got it!
That takes as much faith to believe as it does to believe that God just created it.
No, you didn’t get it.
There is numerous evidence for a common ancestor, the fact that all living things have DNA and RNA, for example, and even share large parts of those. No faith required.
Cause there is no proof of any of it.
Wait, did you just admit that there is no proof for your god? Then how can you demand that other people should believe in him?
@Mister Spak
It kinda has said that as our common decent is from apes (being apes still n'all), just as scientist saying it never claimed we came from monkeys when in the past it kinda referred to that too. Still valid as monkeys (an ancient type) probably preceded the ape (an ancient type)in our family tree.
So they're oddly enough bitching about precise Taxonomy terminology when they won't provide the slightest shred of evidence for their claims.
Decades ago when we had far less evidence of our evolution they said we didn't have enough, has anyone else noticed they all now say, echoing in fact, "there is no proof of any of it." As more is provided they deny it even more, maybe it's an admission of sorts that there too much and they have to blanket deny the entire body of work now.
This post is originally preaching to the choir so he's imparting the mindset of todays deniers. He missed one part of the echo though. "That takes as much faith to believe as it does to believe that God just created it."
In debates creationists have said "more faith" for years now. Bad fundie, get your shit together.
It used to say we came from apes that apes were our ancestor.
No, that's just the strawman you idiot Christians came up with.
It used to say we came from apes that apes were our ancestor
It still does. It also says that we ourselves are apes.
Now it's a common ancestor even though they can't say or show what that common ancestor was
We can show you our common ancestor vs X species as much as the fossil evidence lets us. Evidence not showing as much as you'd like? Well, denying the evidence is like denying Ancient Rome ever existed because you didn't know what Julius Caesar was doing on a random day.
If you follow their logic far enough every living thing including plants and animals, cells viruses esentially everything came from a common ancestor.
Which is exactly what the theory of evolution states.
"That takes as much faith to believe as it does to believe that God just created it."
OK, let's go with that. Let's even say evolution is a religion, as you often claim. Why do you get so much more upset with those believers than any others who believe the universe was created by some means other than your god?
"Came from apes" is the creationists misinterpretation, and NEVER came from scientists except as a joke. But evolution is a science, and, like all sciences, keeps adding more and more information with further study. That's not a bug, it's a feature. That is what new evidence is SUPPOSED to do.
Pity that religion has never figured that out.
@Churchy LaFemme
" Why do you get so much more upset with those believers than any others who believe the universe was created by some means other than your god?"
Because evolution is part a scientific superstructure that brought us the end of polio, men on the moon, and the internet and thus has massive credibility, while competing religions like islam have the same lack of actual results as their own religion.
"If you follow their logic far enough every living thing including plants and animals, cells viruses esentially everything came from a common ancestor."
Come on you are so close, don't stop now.
We are Great Apes. Biology science still say this.
We evolved from former species of apes AND we share a common ancestor with the other current apes. It's not an either/or situation, dearie.
Yes, every living thing share a common ancestor. You're finally getting it! Good for you; you're now moving into fourth grade Biology. It doesn't take any faith at all, just logic, facts and evidence. There is proof for all of it, literally mountains of it, in museums of natural history all over the world.
There is no proof or evidence for the existence of any gods, let alone for your particular one, though.
Confused?
