Movement to reform christian church, very liberal, especially towards marriage and human freedoms (live and let others live, your body is yours and you're free to do with it anything you want to, as long as you don't hurt others). Extremely liberal, considering the time it existed. Because of wide appeal the movement had on public, both protestant and catholic church were forced to spread lies about them (black masses, orgies, birth of terrible children) until they could use weapons to exterminate them. Which they did...

Uh huh. People which you would describe as being part of a nature cult (which is true, but you use it derogatorily when it's no different in principle than your own religion) perform abortions. The ones I've read about accept it as a fact of life. It's [apparently] not surrounded by ritual; the woman involved discovers she's pregnant and she just ingests the appropriate plants. They know pregnancy ends in a child, but if nobody's going to be able to care for it they don't bring it to term (and they're not stupid; they have surely noticed that her period stops when a woman is pregnant, so it's not even going to be a late abortion).

Man its come to my attention that fundie's tend to search more on paganism and satanic rituals than theistic satanists and pagans themselves. It sucks that they don't bother to read the satanic bible and see that one of the 11 satanic rules of earth is don't harm young children.
Abortion is no more ritual than a visit to the dentist or taking the Pill.
An aborted fetus is dead, its blood has stopped running. If you want to pour it into something you'll have to heat it up first (and then you are very close to cooking it, and to cannibalisim, but you seem to like to fantasise about such things...).

I thought everyone knew. "Black Mass" was the best-seller about Boston's Irish mob, as run by "Whitey" Bulger, now in hiding. Whitey is said to have killed or ordered the killing of many opponents, as gangsters do, but he was a thug, not an OB/GYN. Abortions have nothing to do with his story.

Even if all the "alleged" details were 100% accurate, is it really any more blood-thirsty or unconscionable than the crazy shit Christians have done to innocent people over the centuries? Were these "black masses" responsible for deaths on anywhere NEAR the scale of the crusades or the scientific ignorance resulting from the dark ages?
