Why do you side with Palestine? You're American.

Because what the IDF is doing to them was and is amoral, by anyone's moral compass. Why is someone who's not Jewish or Christian's life worth more than that of a Muslim? The Muslims used to protect the Jews from the Christians in that part of the world (the Levant) many, many years ago. Read a book for once in your inconsequential, pathetic life.
@ the Brazilian.
Pretty much every country at one period in time. It doesn't make it right, but don't act as if it is just Israel and Germany.
@ OP. People get to make their own choices. If being an American meant that you would always have to agree with your government/ or your every single one of your countrymen, the United States would not exist.
@ Slowmutant
Because Americans too, are allowed a conscience.
I think this guy would probably blackout if someone told him about people like Noam Chomsky and Normon Finklestein.
"Why do you side with Palestine? You're American"
Why do you side with Israel? You're not British . Did your country give them Palestine in the first place? No? Well then. STFU.
Financial/military aid? Bitch please...!:

Not exactly seeing P-51 Mustangs with Star of David markings. And which company did North American Aviation approach for an engine for their new fighter? Rolls-Royce - their V-12 Merlin - in Britain .
I don't think it is an extremely unreasonable question. Think about it from a neutral perspective, Israel is the closest ally USA has. For an American citizen to side with the enemy of his state's ally is technically almost treasonous.

Prof. Chomsky is one of the greatest linguistic theoreticians of recent times, although most scholars find his political views to be outdated at best, and downright misinformed at worst. Finklestein, on the other hand, is a known liar, a fraud and a repeated Holocaust minimalizer. Google "Alan Dershowitz" and you will learn how a truly brilliant scholar made a bitch out of that notorious anti-semitic hack Finklestein, time and time again.
Confused?
