I don't care about logic or science, the Bible says the moon and sun move.

Yeah, I know. The bible says a lot of utterly ridiculous things, the least of all being the moon and sun moving which is true, but not in the way that the bible describes. You see, many of us [people] have MOVED ON and left mythology and stupid stories behind.
Sure, the sun moves. Just like how glass is technically a liquid.
What? The Sun moves in several ways: around the center of the galaxy, throught the galaxy's own orbit wrt the local group, and through the (albeit small) influence of solar system objects. It also rotates on its axis, which was movement last time I checked. There's nothing obscure (or 'technical' as you call it for some reason) about the Sun's movement.
Well then I guess logic, science and the Bible are in agreement because the moon and the sun DO move. The moon moves around the Earth and the Sun, and the Sun, Moon and Earth all move around the center of the galaxy.
I think by "I don't care" she menat "I can't understand"... The other is just a non sequitur to her statement, since she can't understand logic, she can't apply it either. (Yes the sun moves, the galaxy rotates if memory serves me right, there the sun moves, the earth moves around the sun, then the moon moves around the earth... but of course, all this science is no sequitur to her inability to understand logic or science, althought it's correlated, unlike with her unwillingness to, that's just, she making a non-sequitur to stand true to herself).

Actually, the notion that glass is a liquid is a popular myth. Two properties have to be present in any substance for that substance to be deemed a solid:
(1) There must be bonds between the molecules strong enough to hold them in their relative positions to one another, and
(2) The molecules must be arranged in a regular crystalline lattice.
Glass fits criterion (1), but not criterion (2). It is neither liquid nor solid. Some have deemed this state of matter an "amorphous solid" -- others simply call it glass.
Well, at least you're honest about that.
The Bible also says the world is flat, the sky is a solid dome with lights stuck in it, and that bats are birds.
I bet a box of Girl Scout cookies you believe those, too.
Well of course the sun and moon move. Why someone wouldn't care about logic, I couldn't say. Does she think God isn't logical? That the bible isn't? That's stupid. Real science studies the natural world - hasn't she ever read about David and his astronomical curiosity? Or the biblical descriptions of hydrology and the earth hanging upon nothing? (Pretty darned advanced for the time.) Nothing wrong with science or logic for unafraid bible believers. Too many of these people speak before they think.
The only reason we say the Earth rotates on its axis, rather than saying the Sun revolves around the Earth, is that the calculations are simpler that way. It is conceptually trivial to create a physics, completely equivalent to standard physics, in which the Earth stands still. It is just very painful to do so in practice.
Well, look at the bright side. If fundies will do/believe whatever the Bible says, think about how much fun we could have printing our own versions of the Bible with as much random shit as possible, while watching them believe every word of it.
Actually, now that I think about it, that's too dangerous. Kinda like giving a monkey a loaded gun.
Well she's sort of right.
The moon moves around the earth, the earth moves around the sun, and the sun moves around a central axle at the heart of our sub-system (which in turn is one of four, all of which rotate and move away from a central point which is presumably the location of the Big Bang).
well at least we can agree on something, the sun and moon do indeed move.
now then have you mastered the two times table, we'll be counting up in threes next till we get to 666
all that time evolving large brains, all that inquiring into the world, all that education, WASTED.
She'd be as happy in a cave
Well...they do...but only one of them moves around the Earth. The other one is generally constant with the rest of the solar system, so it's rather moot, but it is moving. Just not in the fashion she thinks.
Katy-Anne again? We've had her childish bullshit before. I called her brain-washed when commenting on another of her stupid posts, and this only reinforces it.
I hope she either grows up, or doesn't breed.
The Fundamentalist Religious Position In a Single Sentence. That says it all. Logic does not count. Science does not count. If the Bible says something, that is the end of it. The sentence above is the most concise declaration of fundamentalist stupidity I have ever seen.
I withdraw the above comment if Katy-Anne is below the age of 12. Then she is just an ignorant kid. Otherwise, she is a total idiot.
Confused?
