Because your god does not appear to have any thought or care for me. Not to mention that he doesn't appear to exist in the first place.

I put more thought and contemplation into what I'm having for dinner than you likely put into your entire week. You don't need to think about anything or contemplate anything. You've got your Wholly Babble as an instruction book, remember? No need to think; just listen to the preacher on Sunday and get your free ride to Heaven. Everything else is just tedious busy work until then, right?

Your god knows where I am. He's both omnipotent and omniscient. If he wants to find me he's free to show up anytime he likes. I'll keep the light on for him.
