“Again, what are you so scared of the government seeing, babe?”
I don’t have to be scared of anything that’s currently legal. Someone has a warrant, they can search my computer all day long. I do not, however, want the DOJ to just have the right to access everything whenever they feel like it.
Maybe imagine if the government wanted to tag all your guns so a sensor could track them. No problem at all if you only have legal guns, and only take them to legal places, or sell them IAW the laws of the state/federal agencies.
But, MAYBE you fear the government suddenly becoming gun-grabbers, and don’t like the idea of them being able to track every gun you have including the ones in your survival bunker?
“You're using a slippery slope fallacy.”
I suspect it’s not a slippery slope fallacy that she’s using, just you misusing the label.
“ The government seeing the illegal porn you clearly possess since you're so scared of your privacy being violated is not comparable to totalitarianism.?”
But my porn is NOT illegal right now. But imagine Hegseth deciding that anti-Trump cartoons are treason, or Trump announcing that anyone supporting Hillary is an enemy to the state.
that’s not a slippery slope, though. Just abuses of power.
“Again, you simply don't have privacy, and that's a good thing.”
I would tend to disagree.
“You don't need it, you're hiding something.”
This is exactly the sort of thinking that Trump was using when he suggested that cops beat up suspects. People they have arrested, but who have not been tried or convicted of a crime, just assume their guilt AND assume they don’t have any rights.
This is totalitarianism you fuckwit.
“Your passwords aren't magically stored in some database, m8. Stop crying and just accept the future.?”
Um, no.
“Your complaints are that the government will know about all the illegal porn you clearly possess”
No, that’s YOUR fantasy.
“ and that your passwords will be vulnerable to hackers due to a keylogger you can turn off.”
No, I’d worry that the government can’t protect it’s own information worth a shit. Government accidental releases of HIPAA data, tax information, and secure files are a matter of historical record.
“You're retarded.?”
You’re complicit.
