As Ralph Ellis has conclusively shown, Jesus was king of Odessa and a real person in the line of King David but his real name, Manu - immanuel - was deliberately left from the historical record by Josephus Flavius - otherwise known as Paul - in place of a magical tale designed to bewitch the masses (like much organised religion in all ages) and spread a light form of Judaism across Europe. The real king Manu was taken down from the cross and later imprisoned in Britain where he could no longer pose a threat to Rome as leader of a revolt that could have made him emperor. Manu incidentally was a teacher and wore a crown of thorns helmet depicted on coins of the period. His confinement in Britain gave rise to legends about Jesus having walked in our green and pleasant lands. He did exactly that.
