“We must always keep in mind the reason so many hate the Bible.”
I don’t hate the bible, Bananaman, i hate what people have done with it.
And I’ll bet you’re about to lie about atheists.
“ This is an important issue to understand, because if the Bible is God’s Word they are accountable for adultery, fornication, etc., for sinful imaginations, and for lust (which scripture says is adultery of the heart).”
But I see no reason to think that the Bible is god’s word.
“So their hard-nosed agenda is to prove that the God of the Bible is unjust in His judgments, and therefore any thought of Judgment Day and Hell is bogus.”
Well, he is portrayed as unjust in the Bible, but that’s not why i disbelieve in God, Judgment or Hell. You’re lying.
But that’s what I expect, you’re not trying to convince me of your god, you’re trying to reinforce the belief of the people who pay you to assuage their fears.
“Most are searching after truth about as much as a man dying of thirst searches after salt"
No. I left my church searching for the church with a convincing stance on God. The God i still believed in. I couldn’t find any church with any supportable dogma. Just opinionated people who refused to question what they were told.
Eventually, I gave up my search entirely.
“("There are none who seeks after God"-- Romans 3:11).”
How useless for people questioning the Bible’s veracity.
“They rather want to bolster their case for an "evil" Bible, so they can fortify their worldview with what they think are mistakes, contradictions, atrocities, etc., within its pages.”
Yeah, you guys can’t really answer most of the contradictions so you blame me for finding them. Not a convincing tactic.
