Bigotry is common among atheists, elitists, liberals, Muslims and homosexuals towards critics of their ideologies...

It is typical to see liberals refer to their opponents as racists, fascists, Nazis, rednecks, fanatics, or any number of more profane slurs.

Bigotry can also be evidently seen when people refer to others who disagree with them as bigots or intolerant, and this is a severe form of hypocrisy because it excuses their accountability by blaming someone else.

I don't call people who are critical of my ideological views bigots. I call people who consider themselves superior to others, who scapegoat any group of people and spread lies about any group of people for the purpose of demonizing them and restricting their rights - basically, people like the person who wrote this article - bigots.

These days it's apparent that the cultural and political climate is deemed suitable for the open touting of ones stupidity. No longer need you hide your innermost rages and beastly urges from a public that you wish to deceive. The idiocy is stridently broadcast without any need for subtlety or finesse. It is blurted out without regard for the accuracy of facts, and with no shame or regard for your own dignity. It is with pride that you wear the 'Look at me! I'm a stupid prat!' t-shirt.

You openly express your base emotions and heinous desires safe in the knowledge that your insane babbling will find a sympathetic ear among the docile but easily aroused masses. This degeneracy can hardly be voiced without resorting to a multitude of lies and baseless assertions, not to mention the willing gullibility, the rabid delusions, and the butt-hurt anger of a demented arsehole.

The result is a risible stream of inanity from Conservapedia, as evidenced in the quote above. The only conclusion to be made is that Conservapedia is written and conceived by a drooling maniac or a moronic egoist driven to create his own world of snarling derangement.

When referring to our opponents, such as 'racists, fascists, Nazis, rednecks, fanatics' etc; it's impossible for such to be 'profane slurs', when they're statements of fact.

All you have to do is prove us wrong, Andy & co.: become pro-LGBT, tolerant, intellectual, left-wing Atheists.

Are there atheists, elitists, liberals, Muslims, and Gays that are by definition, bigots? Yes.

Is the statement a half-truth, meaning that it evaluates as true, but fails to include, by deliberate omission, other groups to which the statement could apply? b) Does said omission create a false attribution of bigotry as a related trait to the groups mentioned? Yes.

Is the statement, "Bigotry is common among ..." a fnord in this context, in that it is a statement of belief, stated as fact, with no actual evidence to back it up, and so stated in order to instruct the weak-minded what to think? Does it create a false impression of a proved statistical majority and/or correlation? Yes.

Given the deliberate choice of groups mentioned, is this statement itself an example of bigotry in that: it does, by use of fallacious logic, attempt to prejudice the reader in favor of groups with opposing ideologies omitted from the statement, whose membership contains demonstrable subsets of bigots? I would have to say yes.

And there, Andy, is the precise reason why our irony meters keep exploding and you keep failing forever.

As I often have to remind you people, pointing out that you're full of shit and hold silly beliefs for very shaky reasons is not bigotry--it's the truth.

Isn't this statement a form of bigotry? And, who or what do you mean by "critics"? Refutation of criticism is not a form of bigotry. I might also add that people tend to get rather intolerant when they have to refute the same misconceptions-preached-as-gospel over and over again.

Right-wingers are not above using those terms themselves to describe liberals, if the quotes on this site are any indication. The thing is that at least with right-wingers, the use of those terms is often unfortunately legitimate.
