“"It's in the Bible"....LOVE ONE ANOTHER AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF
HUSBANDS LOVE YOUR WIFE AS CHRIST LOVED THE CHURCH”
Those are commands, not evidence.
And which church does Christ love? Catholic? Mormon? Methodist?
How do you know?
“You don't like those verses to back up how I treat my wife and others?”
The question is how to know the Bible to be true.
You could use verses to back up how you treat your slaves, or how you cleanse a house of leprosy using lark’s tongues. Still doesn’t prove the Bible.
“Did you know that the Bible has never been proven to be in error or false HISTORICALLY, GEOGRAPHICALLY, SCIENTIFICALLY, or ARCHAEOLOGICALLY?”
Oh, let’s see. Historically, it says that King David received gold darics to pay for the Temple, but the daric was invented centuries later by Darius.
Geographically, it says there’s a place you can stand and see all the nations of the world, which is not possible on a globe.
Scientifically, it says that the sky is solid and rain comes down from the Waters Above when god opens trap doors in the sky.
Archaeologically, the Bible says the City of Tyre will be destroyed and not rebuilt. It’s pretty populous right now.
“I challenge YOU to do so.”
Scroll up.
“ I've laid out that challenge many times in many venues on line and not ONCE has the challenge been taken up.”
I’m guessing you either bullshit your way through a rationalization, or you just don’t go back to those fora.
“PROOF in the Bible....The Nile River, the Tigris & Euphrates (do you even know where they are?) , Ethiopia, Syria, Jerusalem, Thessalonica. Manna....exists today.”
Okay, the book was written in a historical setting. That doesn’t change the date of invention of the daric.
“Picking up birds from the ground (like our phesants/quail)...on the Sinai peninsula..they migrate in our time, just as they did in Moses' time..”
They’ve migrated for far longer than you think the world has existed. Doesn’t prove the Bible.
“It can be done in our time, still. TEMPLE OF BAAL....discovered in the 1920s. Babylon....extinct as was prophesied...and no one lives in that area as was prophesied.”
Tyre. Prophesied.
“ Many of the countries near Israel have, in their history, people, places, happenings that are in the Bible. E.G. wars, kings, famines....etc.”
Gods, too. And again, historical settings do not validate the magical events. Zane Grey puts a lot of landmarks in his books, but the fact that a boulder shaped like a cactus is two miles out of town and matches the novel doesn’t mean that the gunfight took place.
“Are you a biblical scholar? Or are you just a loud mouth looking for attention?”
You’re the one screaming in CAPS LOCK…
