Have you thought about this - ALL HEALING IS OF GOD. Whether a scratch or an organ transplant. It is wonderful that He has enabled man to transplant organs, but HE does the healing.

Then why does HE need a highly trained team of doctors and nurses that all had to got to school for years?
Not to mention the medicine and the equipment and the risk of rejection and that typically somebody has to die before you can get the organs.
How I can believe in a God so dumb and helpless?
Ok, I admit I do believe in a higher power. just not the lame one this guy does..
Yeah, Buddy - it's that evil old knowledge, book larnin' and research almost gettin' in Gawd's way-
This is a little off subject, maybe, but I am reminded of the movie "Great Ball of Fire" - the scene where Jerry Lee Lewis gives his broke ass cousin, Jimmy Swaggart, a brand new car, and Swaggart says "Well, thank Jesus!"
Lewis says, "Don't thank Jesus, cousin . . . thank Jerry Lee."
Ever seen a Christian Scientist with appendicitis?
But it took thousands of years before we could develop the technology for organ donations. Never mind the fact that it needs a team of surgeons who had to go to university for at least seven years, and then there's the fact that the body could still refuse the organ and last but not least someone had to die for that organ to be donated in the first place. In short, if this is your God's ideal health plan it's pretty fucking pathetic. And I think humanity could do better in a few decades.
He's pretty f**king incompetent, or he's out to tea, considering all the deadly diseases that kill people, not to mention chronic conditions that others have to live with.
And the concept of free will and human deed, and miracle, as a separated act(see Jesus)?, how do you redefine all that?
but HE does the healing.
So I don't need to go to hospital, see a doctor, or take out health insurance.
And why will I die, then?
Isn't it weird how god's ability to heal does not exceed humans' ability to heal and prayers are never answered by anything outside what is possible under the laws of nature? (Why, it could lead someone to think there is no god at all.) Perhaps someday medical science will find a way to restore lost limbs and we'll no longer ask, "Why does god hate amputees?"
And God doesn't feel like curing cancer, HIV, diabetes, bird flu, and hepatitis right now, thank you.
Ugh. Hate this kind of thinking. Want to believe there's some higher being or purpose at work in the universe? Fine, no argument here. But a theology of jamming a divine being into every single tiny aspect of life-even at the cellular level- is just feeble, and shows why people think of religion as a crutch.
"Praise be! Just look at how almighty God is personally allowing the sugar to drop from the spoon into my tea!"
"Glory! The divine creator of all things is granting me his mercy by allowing me to break a sweat on this hot summer's day! Truly I am blessed!"
Gee, fucking THANKS, God, for healing Adolph Hitler during the Great War so he could take over Germany and kill hundreds of millions.
I also want to know why God has such an interest in healing animals exactly the same way as he heals people. I mean, is it really worth his time to mend a Peccary after a fight with a Jaguar? While so much else is going on?
What about when the patient doesn't heal and dies instead? Not very omnipotent then, is he?
My late father was a doctor so I should feel slightly offended by this, but it's so fucking stupid that I can't feel anything except dismay that people can still believe shit like this in the 21st century.

And there's me thinking that the first heart transplant was performed by South Africal surgeon Dr. Christiaan Barnard? I was at least expecting him to look like Morgan Freeman! [/"Bruce Almighty"] [/smartarse]
...oh, and the human body heals itself; something called the 'Immune System'. Deal with it.
Confused?
