who cares what [religion] you are as long as you believe that jesus died for you sins and you asked him to come to you and be saved!

I'm thinking he was meaning "which Christian sect" instead of "which religion". If that is the case, it seems he's being rather open-minded as compared to most people I physically meet from time to time.
Then again, I've not read the thread. I probably shouldn't because I would really prefer to believe that someone was being relatively open-minded for once. :p
Whatever, we all know that you think homosexuals, catholics and whatever your church has abominated in the last half hour can't ask jesus for saving, your little holy book prohibits that. Also, Egyptians. According to your bible they can't go into a temple until they have been jewish/christian for 4 genetations. You are trying to rally the christian faiths under one banner, and I applaud you for it, but... If you actually included people, you would win alot more converts.
Who cares what religion you are so long as you are christian?
Better yet, who cares what color you are so long as you're white?
Who cares? Remind me again who it is who is always pointing fingers and shrieking, "They're not really Christians!"
Here's a hint, its not atheists.

Oh, look. You’ve invented Methodism. The Methodist faith is basically anyone who’s Christain is saved. Not so much any non-Christain religion. Goes back to about the Napolean Wars.
This, of course, is why so many Christain religions refer to the Methodists as a ‘heresy.’ They’ll let just anyone into Heaven.
Still don’t quite see any reason to believe in Jesus the Christ at ALL, but that’s another issue.
Confused?
