Most people, especially men are however, disgusted by deviant sexual behavior such as two males felching, rimming and the general consumption of fecal material.
Again with the graphic description of anal sex. And a lot of people are also disgusted by say, two obese people having sex. Or an older man having sex with a young woman. Or old people having sex. Just because it's 'icky' doesn't mean it shouldn't be happening. Just don't think about it.

I would hazard to guess that there are almost as many straight couples engaging in anal sex as there are homosexual couples doing so. Neither of which have a noticable effect on PUBLIC health.

Please do as I myself seem to find no such hard data from the CDC itself on homosexual health when it comes to anal sex. Only a bunch of sites who claim they do (and all of which seem to be saying the same thing as you, funny enough).
