The bible doesn’t specifically say homosexuals should be stoned to death—any sort of method to murder them is biblically acceptable

Does the phrase 'Thou shalt not kill' mean anything to you?
Again, I don't think Tracer actually agrees with the statement. He's just saying that the Bible says any sort of murder is biblically acceptable. Not that he agrees with it. If you read other posts, it's clear he doesn't hold the position that it's ok to kill gays.
Well, two wrong assumptions. ONE, stoning is mandated in the Bible, second, JESUS CHRIST AND PAUL NEVER SAID THEY HAVE TO BE EXECUTED, and the former didn´t even say that it was necessarily a sin. Remember that he surverted the law in many ways.
You admit that killing homosexuals for their sexuality is murder. And, I presume you can read the commandment which says "Thou shalt not murder." So, how did you arrive at the conclusion that murdering homosexuals would be OK?
Oh, good, it's a Poe. Whew. I knew that someone who enjoys Calvin & Hobbes enough to use an obscure reference as his SN couldn't really be a fundie.
Well, I hoped not, anyway.
It's ASTOUNDING that people have pointed out it's a sarcastic/parody comment taken out of context, yet people comment on it as if it was serious because they can't be bothered to read any of the comments OTHERS have already made. Which makes one wonder why comments are made at all if most people are only concerned with their OWN comments?
Thou shall not kill.
Oh, that and the adulterer woman story really high fives stoning people to death!
But, of course, you could be an exception as well...
"You see, when it says 'stone the man who lieth with another man' you have to understand it figuratively and realize that the morals expressed by that sentiment were specific to the time that the Bible was written. It doesn't mean to literally stone gays to death, that would be crude and barbaric. No. We can use guns now."
Edit: Wooooooooops. Guess I fell into the trap too. Oh well, guess that's why it seemed like a self-parody: it was.
Confused?
