Actually, except for the last part, this is true.
No scientific evidence has ever been found suggesting that homosexuality is caused by genetic factors (sad to say, much of the nonsense in the response thread here claiming such evidence is just people making things up).
Here is plenty of evidence and argumentation about it:

It is ridiculous to think that any complex human behavior could be caused by simple gentic factors. Is there a gene for bondage? A gene for not liking baseball? In any case, the defining characteristic of homosexuality is not homoerotic desire (every human being is capable of feeling that) but disinclination toward heterosexuality, which could not by definition be passed on geneticially.
The reason that many people wish homsoexuality was genetically determined (and this list is nothing unless a tribute to the human propensity to short-ciruit the connection between wishes and belief), is then they could claim that homosexuals are like blacks or other racial minorities, and that people who discrimiante against them are mean and bigoted just like people who discriminate against blacks: in other words, blacks were hated and now are priviliged with all sorts of special legal rights, and since we were hated for the same reason (our genetic make-up), we ought to be made a priviliged minority too. What a spinelss, dishonest form of reasoning!
This false belief that homsexuality is genetic and therefore must (not should for fariness or comapssion, but must under existing anti-discrimination laws) be protected and compensated, is one of the main underpinnings supporting the love that dare not speak its name becoming the love that can't shut up.
