Disease is mental. It is created by sin, and as i said sin is a transgression of the law. We are born into sin, it is a mental state.
So disease is not part of the 'natural world'.
[Cassiterides, by what mechanism does sin create viruses and bacteria?]
I don't believe in Germ theory of disease.

But I bet he still washes his hands, refrigerates his food (and discards the spoiled), and keeps well away from sick people.
It's almost as though the 'sin' of disease were able to be transmitted from person to person by tiny invisible 'sin-bugs'.
:-S
I don't believe in Germ theory of disease.
Fair enough; conversely, please enlighten us with actual physical proof for your position.
We'll wait...
Pretty sure I submitted this, but forgot to tick the box to take credit. Regardless, I'm glad this got through - there's a veritable vault of stupidity from Cass from before he got banned on those forums.
Think of it as evolution in action:
1. fundie doesn't believe in germ theory
2. fundie gets sick
3. fundie prays rather than going to a doctor and getting treatment
4. fundie dies of his/her own stupidity
5. human gene pool is improved
Ah, it's Cassiterides, of the Eyebeams!
I wonder if he's ever infected another forum? I'd love to see what sort of ass-hattery he's been up to lately.
Anyhoo, since homosexuality is a 'sin', shouldn't I be having a perpetual cold or flu or something? No? Yeah, I didn't think so either.
Germs. It's only a theory.
How much does anyone want to bet when Cassiterides gets sick enough, they'll go see a doctor?
At any rate, good people and evil people get sick at the same rate, so that pretty much blows the "punishment for sin" idea out of the water. Ah wait, though, when "good" people get sick, it's the devil trying to turn them away from God.
Oh my God, Cassiterides is back.
You know, Cassiterides, gravity is only a theory too.
"I don't believe in Germ theory of disease."
Do I even have to make fun of this?
I don't, do I? I'm probably just wasting server space right now.
Sorry, that was a dupe. Sending lag. Anyway, to the guy that asked, Crass Cass there is the real deal.
It's amazing he even knows how to type, much less work spell-check.
So ... Penicillin cures sin?
...
Jesus was made of antibiotics and not wine and crackers?
Seriously. WTF is wrong with you?
I don't believe in Germ theory of disease.
Yet, researchers and doctors basing their work on this theory have cured countless illnesses that used to plague the ancient world, including leprosy.
So much for your omnipotent god.
I think we should replace the word "theory" in scientific usage when a theory reaches the point where it isn't disputable anymore, so that these idiots can't seize upon the designation of "theory" to try to trick the vulnerable into thinking that scientific facts are in dispute.
Nobody would claim that the "theory" of gravitation is in dispute, yet these clowns fail to see the both evolution and germs have the same status, this is something that should be addressed.
Let's test this scientifically. I'll inject you full of blood from a person with Ebola, with a chaser of leprosy and HIV. We'll see what happens.
Hell, judging by your posts you're probably already syphilitic.
Back to the Middle Ages! Bring out your dead! Mark the door of the plague victims with a cross! For God has sent his righteous judgement upon them, for their sinful nature!
What, basic hygiene? Washing your hands? Why bother? Don't you know it's just a THEORY?
"So disease is not part of the 'natural world.'"
So, when non-human animals get sick it's because they sinned against a god they can't possibly believe in?
Also, sin cannot exist with out a god. Please prove that your God exists before insisting we assume sin is the cause of anything.
...and yet, antibiotics work.
So basically what you're saying is that your God can be defeated by penicillin.
Which makes your God, well...kind of a wimp.
@Zagen30:
I'm glad someone tried, but theorem is too much like theory, it needs to be a totally distinct word for entirely proven scientific facts.
How about Factoid? I like "The Factoid Of Gravitation" or "The Factoid Of Evolution"
Just kidding, but it does need to be a word that doesn't sound anything like theory or hypothesis (not that most of these idiots know what a hypothesis is, but a few might).
Well, ya see, Cass, the important thing isn't whether you believe in the germ theory of disease. It's whether the viruses and bacteria believe in it.
Animals, plants etc. also gets diseases. So are they big 'sinners' too?
Found a giant hole in your ridiculous argument didn't I?
Riiiight. The entirety of medical science, since shortly after 1674, is wrong.
These assmuffins really are trying to drag us back into the Middle Ages.
OK, test your theory.
Inject yourself with a syringe laced with a cocktail of HIV, E-Coli bacteria and Anthrax.
Pray, pray and pray some more.
Wait.
You should be just fine!
Essentially a reiteration of this:
http://www.fstdt.com/QuoteComment.aspx?QID=77569
So he does understand non-human creatures as suffering disease...on account of overstepping their boundaries. One wonders what he thinks God gave humanity free will for (if he isn't a cardinal Calvinist, that is)...
Disease Cassiterides is mental.
They say theory like it's a swearword.
Ooh, he's got a "Thee-O-Ree" . Whooptee fuckin' doodlee do!
Better stay away from him, he's choosing to go ta HAY-ell with his so-called "Thee-O-Ree", and he'll take you down there with him.
I've never really had this thought before in my life, but for some reason I really want to have some dude with herpes come in this guy's eyeball, stab him with a rusty nail, then have a raccoon with rabies bite the shit out of him. Don't worry, I would then sprinkle on some holy water and drop him off at a church for treatment.
Cass,
We'd like you to meet us OUTside.
A. van Leewenhoek, father of the modern microscope
L. Pasteur, inventor of the process that makes milk much safer to drink
R. Koch, postulator of "germ theory"
J. Lister, father of modern hygiene
et al. too numerous to mention
I had a sinus infection a few months ago. So if it's mental, why couldn't I see a psychiatrist about it? Because you're wrong. I saw an ear, nose, and throat doctor and was prescribed antibiotics.
So far, Cassiterides has denied gravity, light and germs. Are we really - oh and evolution too, but that's ok - are we really sure he is for real?
Hey, at least he is consequential. The Fundies deny the Theory of Evolution, so why shouldn't they deny other "so called" theorys as well?
I mean, besides the obvious reasons...
He's...serious isn't he?

"I don't believe in Germ theory of disease"
I guess you won't mind then, if I inject you with Ebola, whilst I drop this very heavy anvil on your head from a great height.
Because - along with Gravity - mere theories can't possibly kill you eh, Casshiterides...?! [/smartarse]
@Dr. Shrinker
I suggest you click the quote link. If Casshiterides is a 'Poe', then he's an extremely dedicated one. Otherwise he is proof that there are so-called 'people' as stupid as that.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
