If Kim Davis were a Muslim, none of this would be happening. You know it and I know it.

Is there a context that makes this specifically racist? To me, she appears to be pointing out racism and hypocrisy in others, and she's absolutely right. I don't think for a second that any of Ms. Davis' supporters would stand up for a Muslim in the same way.
@Miles Gloriosus: No, she is actually saying that if Davis was Muslim she would be totally okay and not jailed because she refused to follow the law and they would make accommodations. The day Linda Harvey admits the right wing is racist is the day they actually start giving a damn about someone other than white christians.
Except a similar thing did happen, a flight attendant converted to Islam and refused to serve alcohol, you know a major component of her job. And she was rightly fired.
The point being, if you refuse to do the job, no matter what your justification is, then you shouldn't hold that job.
Guys, whether not this is bigoted is irrelevant, because Muslims aren't a race. This should be in FSTDT, not here.
@Insult to Rocks
The day when Arabs stop being assaulted or harassed for "being Muslim" and the day that bigoted idiots stop using race-based derogatory words towards Muslims is the day racism is no longer a part of Islamophobia.
Until that day, just accept that racism towards Arabs is a significant part of discrimination against Muslims.
If Kim Davis were a Muslim you jackasses would be outraged she had a position in government at all, and if she dared to say her actions were guided by Islamic principle rather than Christian you'd demand her head even though it coincides with your own wants because you are freaking programmed into a cycle of tribalistic hostility.
The reaction of humanists, both atheist and moderate religious (we should not forget such people actually exist, as hard as they are to come by especially in political circles) would still be the same: She flagrantly violated and subverted the Constitution she was sworn to uphold and attempted to impose her faith by abuse of her position. Forget human rights, from the simple stance of workplace ethics and contract violations getting punished is to be expected.
Confused?
