[I enjoy reading the Gospel of Judas (and Judas is no traitor)]
What a non-sensical response. The man sold out the only hope for his soul for the price of a slave. He became perdition and now these gnostic "gospels" are one of the best tools lucifer has to keep people duped and in the dark, leading them to hell with him.
Don't be fooled. You step out of here believing those things and you will lose your soul.
We have violated the laws of God and now mankind chooses to further aggravate the situation by believing such tripe.

So, Jesus said to God that his will should be made but Judas is a traitor nonetheless because of what?, I think that a God that treats us like puppets is not a propper God. Indeed, I think that Judas Gospel makes more sense with the whole idea in the four ones, that the "official" version.
Fucking retard. Which is it? Was judas some scumbag who acted alone, or was this all part of god's plan?
THe latter from the way I learned it. jebus' only purpose was to die. Judas brought that to fruition. Why would god hate someone who he used to do his will?
You should change your name to mintjellyonlamb. Yum.
But without Judas, Jesus wouldn't have died for your sins, and you wouldn't be here spouting fundie Christian bullshit.
...Yeah, Judas sucked.
Even if Judas was fulfilling God's plan, he probably regretted his part in it. I don't know exactly what's _in_ the gospel of Judas, but I've thought that Judas believed he was forcing the Messiah's hand - if he was in a situation where he'd have to demonstrate his power and create an earthly kingdom, or die, then surely he wouldn't die?
Most unpleasant surprise _ever_.

Ah, but he did it as part of "God's divine plan for salvation," and therefore his actions served God's will. How can Judas be condemned for serving God's will? If he hadn't fingered the Big J to the fuzz, there would have been no fulfilment of the prophecy, no arrest, no trial, no judgment, no torture, no crucifixion, and no salvation...
There is an Indian tribe in South America that, when introduced to the faith by Christian missionaris, insisted on including "St. Judas" in with the others in their prayers and venerations. They couldn't understand why the missionaries were outraged by this. After all, wasn't Judas the agent by which the crucifixion, and therefore salvation, came to pass on schedule? Wasn't he an agent of God just like all the others? The missionaries in the end were forced to beat this "heretical" belief out of the natives with whips and sticks.
I once asked a fundie friend of mine the same question about Judas -- why was he punished when it was God's will he was doing? -- and they replied that Judas was being punished for committing suicide, not betrayal. Way to move the goalposts, there.
There is evidence supporting that Jesus and Judas had preplanned the scenario where Judas would "betray" him.
And really, if Jesus was supposed to die for our sins, shouldn't you be thanking Judas for speeding the process along?

You use that word a lot. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Confused?
