1) You don't know what God is like. Read the Bible so you can see God can hate and be merciless when it's for the True Good of mankind. It's only this new age jumbo magical mumbo crap that teaches (WITHOUT ANY SUPPORTING EVIDENCE!) that God can do nothing but love.
2) I'm doing exactly what every True Christian should do: Spread the word of Lord, period.
