Atheists are comfy because they don't have a higher being to answer to, and do not have to sacrifice anything that God has asked of them, so atheism is the 'easy' way out. That is until it's time for judgement.

I don't understand why these people think atheism is the easy way out.us to fix it.
The only comfort to be had in atheism is that it's so much easier to avoid cognitive dissonance.

Which your holy book says is God's pleasure, not yours. So (from my POV) I'll be comfy to my dying day, and cease to be after it.
And I don't have to spend my life sucking up to the kind of psychopath most fundies seem to think is running things (i.e. their kind of psychopath). Bonus!
Hey, I also don't have to feel perpetually guilty for having perfectly natural urges. Double bonus!
And I get to lie in on Sunday mornings. Triple bonus! (Although, to be fair, the same is true of the Anglican Church.)

And yet loads of fundies like you tend to assert that the notion of living in an uncaring universe with no overall authority and no existence beyond death absolutely terrifies them, which is of course why they choose the relative comfort of religious delusion. Care to explain this little contradiction?
We're not the comfy ones; we have no-one to confess our sins to and have them washed away. We have to take responsibility for our actions here and now, act morally and ethically every single moment, as we must deal with the consequences in THIS life, which does definitely exist.
