No, it doesn't. Matter of fact - if we came from monkeys why are there still monkeys? So, evolution just stopped all of a sudden? What's the explanation for that one? The World is not a million years old! And just because some scientist throw out words that we don't understand doesn't mean it's true.

Humans and other apes are descended from a common ancestor whose population split to become two (and more) lineages. The question is rather like asking, "If many Americans and Australians are descended from Europeans, why are there still Europeans around?" Creationists themselves recognize the invalidity of this claim (AIG n.d.).

And conversely, just because you don't understand some words scientists throw out doesn't mean they're false. A theory doesn't become false because it's hard to understand.

What evolution says is that monkeys and we humans have a common ancestor, does it answer your question?. The world is not just one million years old, it's much older. Don't make up excuses not to look less ignorant.

In the verse about "science falsely so called," the word translated as "science" is the Greek "gnosis." Who were the prime heretics Paul was fighting against? That's right, the Gnostics.
The world is not a million years old, that's right. Actually, it is believed to be 4.5 billion years old. Also, I'd like to know where in the bible it predicts evolution being taught. Chapter and verse please?

Of course it didn't originally mean that, but since when does that stop a fundie?
Fundamentalism means you can change the "unchanging, eternal" word of God to fit whatever circumstances you find yourself in.
Evolution hasn't stopped. As a matter of fact, it won't stop until the Earth is no longer able to sustain life.
BTW: I wish the creationists would stop using the tired old if we came from monkeys why are there still monkeys argument. It's really getting on my nerves.
