In just over 6 weeks, Weld County, adjacent to Boulder and 7 other northern Colorado Counties will vote to secede from the State of Colorado which by extension means the United States since the libturd run Congress will never vote to admit us as a new state. The importance and net effect of this action is to call out the forces of evil in this state and nation. The Turds cannot allow this happen as we produce 80% of the state oil and gas revenue plus another 70% of the agricultural revenue and we will no longer be dictated to by them from their Denver ivory tower. There will be a gun fight over this so those of you located elsewhere need to start figuring out how you will react to that war. The leftist media will report the government line and no truth will be heard.
FEMA and other enemy agencies of this criminal government need to be kept under surveillance by those of you outside of this area. Drone THEM, photograph THEM, report on THEM. We will need intel on troop movements, and any asset relocation’s, i.e., DHS gun trucks, air assets, etc.
We will take control of this area by force of arms if necessary, without question, and the fight will be on. This will likely spill out into other states.

Agriculture, oil and gas account for 12% of Colorado's GDP; the federal government accounts for 58%. You're going to miss the revenue and employment from the military bases and the federal prisons and the national parks and trails. Oh, shouldn't forget the FEMA bases. But, then again, the "libturds" in Congress are now ensuring you miss them anyway.

And I find it hilarious when they talk about "intel," especially when they think that FEMA and DHS have armed trucks & aircraft. True intelligence means looking at all the evidence and possibly reaching a conclusion, not reaching a conclusion and then finding evidence to back it up.
And frankly, they can vote to secede all they want, doesn't mean they'll get to. And it's also highly unlikely they'll secede by force.
Some great self-proclaimed "patriots" we have in this country where as soon as things don't go how they want, they all start this secession talk. But when things are going their way, they just say "if you don't like it, then get out."
So you're going to secede from Colorado, why would you even consider asking DC to admit you as a new state? I say to let you secede, set up the border checkpoints, require passports from anyone who wants to enter the US from your little enclave, and see how long it takes for you to come crawling back asking for help.
I live in one of the Colorado counties that is involved in this little movement (Logan County, to be precise). Most of us are paying very little attention to this; only the wingnut extremists are involved, and few of those at that.
I've told my friends that if the wingnuts decide to set up a feudal system in their new state that I would happily serve as the Duke of Northern Colorado. My first act would be to instate Ius Primae Noctis. My second act would be declaring war on Wyoming because they're so thinly populated that it would be an easy victory.
And I would give everybody here permission to pass my Duchy by the left hand side.....
My third decree as Duke of Northern Colorado would be the legalization of prostitution and the compulsory wearing of bikinis in public by all female subjects between the ages of 18 and 35.
My fourth decree would establish Departments of Necromancy at all colleges within the Duchy. All corpses in our cemeteries will then be animated to serve as laborers. The borders of the Duchy will be patrolled by bound specters and all suspected enemies of the Duchy will be haunted by poltergeists.

I almost hope it comes to pass. I would get a good laugh at the looks on the yokels faces when the airstrikes and artillery barrages begin. Of course, said yokels in their pickups with their pretend military weapons would just shit themselves every time a helicopter flew over and then they would slink home and kick their dogs and/or children.

Interesting place, Weld County. Apparently a lot of them are planning to leave the Union. Or rather, they were until the recent Colorado flooding.
According to FEMA, $32M has been distributed to flood victims through a variety of programs.
Two Disaster Recovery Centers have been established in Weld County.
Representatives from FEMA and the Small Business Programs are working throughout Weld County to explain the various assistance programs and to help survivors apply for aid.
