[Ann Coulter]
I listened to some of Godless: The Church of Libralism on Doubleday Bookclub to see if I wanted to buy it. And Ann reminds me of a female Archie Bunker from All in the Family, one of my favorite shows. I guess that's why I like her. She speaks her mind and doesn't care who she hurts. She's a strong woman and doesn't back down no matter what the libral media says about her. That's what we need in a president. As far as being a Christian. She may be the most Godly woman we know. Lord knows Archie Bunker was and look what he said.

Whoa, did my comment go through a time loop? It's appearing right below Tempus' for me, yet even the timestamp admits it's 7 minutes later than Bunyip girl and 4 after Papabear, both of which I read before posting.
EDIT: I guess it did: this comment is appearing above my last one.
Mother Teresa was a saint who aided impoverished children. Ann Coulter is a foul-mouthed, slutty insult artist. Now if you even vaguely suggest that the second woman is more Godly than the first, you'd better hope there isn't a God!
Ann Coulter is a con-artist who has discovered that conservative fuckwits will spend good money on any book or talk show that confirms their own opinions. That's why there are so many more successful talk shows and books for conservatives than liberals, despite the fact that the numbers are more evenly divided. If I just wanted the bucks, I'd be a raving right-winger, too. That's where the sucker money is.
flipper -- Don't get to excited about Mother Teresa. She wasn't as wonderful as some would have you believe. Here are a couple of quotes:
"It is a just retribution for improper sexual misconduct" -- Mother Teresa, on AIDS
"I think it is very beautiful for the poor to accept their lot, to share it with the passion of Christ. I think the world is being much helped by the suffering of the poor people." -- Mother Teresa, on poverty
"It is the greatest enemy of peace." -- Mother Teresa, on abortion
Wasn't the guy who played Archie Bunker a total liberal?
Regardless of whether or not you know Archie Bunker was a parody of real-life bigoted fuckheads, though, if you find yourself in agreement with the shit he spews every episode then you have serious problems.
Hey, fuck-o, Archie Bunker's charector was an exercise in, 'how not to'. He was meant to set a bad example how to act, not to be idolized. He was funny because of the writing and acting, and that when normal people watched it, they were able to quickly acertain that this is NOT how to act. Archie was funny because he was a bumbling, racist, sexist and stupid homophobe.
Your new 'hero' IS like Archie Bunker; only this bitch is serious. She is no role model, unless you plan on making a new version of 'All In The Family' and you need a cunt reference.
Flipper:
You won't get universal agreement on Mother Theresa being a saint, you know. While I don't share Christopher Hitchens' rather unilaterally negative view of her, I think she was very likely sincerely misguided. She was providing spiritual relief when the masses of Calcutta desperately needed real social services.
And she had a deeply weird view of suffering as well -- consider the famous "tell Jesus to stop kissing me" quote. I've no doubt that she thought she was doing good work, but in ministering to the spiritual needs of "her" people she ignored the agony of their real lives. (And she was unspeakably chintzy as well -- a former member of her order who handled the finances once described vast stores of wealth from donations going completely unused while the order operated on a shoestring.)
Archie Bunker was a narrow-minded racist bigot! Oh, yea, right... Ann Coulter... Sorry, I agree, that's exactly what she is.
When a woman is strong in her beliefs, agrees with fundies, and doesn't care what "evil liberals" think, she's a strong woman.
When a woman is strong in her beliefs, disagrees with fundies and doesn't care what they say, she's a rabid bitch who should be beaten.
*eyeroll*
I see satire passed Kentucky by. Oddly, the same thing happened with the original for Archie Bunker, our very own Alf Garnett. Numbwits would take his rantings (much more bigoted than Bunker's) seriously, and agree with them.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
