Men are doing awfully in British schools and universities but we still pretend it's 1960 and casual sexism against women in education is the norm. It isn't, they outnumber men and do better than them by all metrics I'm aware of.

Baby boomers have clung onto positions of power for far longer than any previous generations did and the consequence is that we are still suffocated by their 50 years outdated second-wave feminist counterculture and perceptions of misogyny being a huge problem in education when it really isn't.

I'm not saying the next generation of leaders will be any better, just that some of the idiocy we have today is because of mentalities about female attainment and opportunity that are long, long outdated.
