Liberals refuse to allow even the possibility of certain conservative views, and this reflects a liberal close-mindedness that is not shared by conservatives. Liberals categorically declare something to be impossible, such as changes in the laws of physics over time

Law!!
And Scotty weeps...
You have been reading your dictionary backwards again.
Conservative: tending or disposed to maintain existing views, conditions, or institutions.
You don't like change, you want to stay in the dark ages.Be my guest, but liberals prefer to live in the real world.
Ye cannae change the Laws of Physics,
Laws of Physics,
Laws of Physics.
Ye cannae change the Laws of Physics,
Laws of Physics,
Laws of Physics, cap'n!

There's fundie's on the starboard bow,

Starboard bow, Jim!
Conservatives refuse to allow even the possibility of certain real observations, and this reflects a conservative close-mindedness that is not shared by liberals. Conservatives categorically declare something to be impossible, such as anything in their big book of fairy tales not being true.
Fixed.

This is so ass-backwards it's almost gay!
Oh, and, er ... Liberals are scientists now?
This is true. What you guys have is technically conservative close-mindedness.
- Anyone who likes things I don't like is a closed-minded ***hole
And since some people have mistaken for being a shower on this site, I am required to remind you that I am joking.
I'm pretty liberal, and I hate abortion. I think it's selfish and irresponsible. But I'd rather women had abortions than throw their babies in trash cans, and who is supposed to adopt all these children?
Does that count?
Maybe it's because WE UNDERSTAND THEM!
And yes, some physical laws do change, such as an addition or subtraction with new data.
It has been investigated, and there is no evidence that the physical constants of the universe have altered over time. That doesn't deny the possibility, but, if your argument depend on such being the case, you don't have anything to validate what you're saying.
from the same list:
"But why are so many people embarrassed to admit they are liberal???"
The proper question is:
"Why are so few people embarrassed to admit they are conservative?"
(note characteristic liberal question mark restraint.)
Conservatives refuse to allow even the possibility of certain liberal views, and this reflects a conservative close-mindedness that is not shared by Liberals. Conseratives categorically declare something to be impossible, such as changes in the laws of physics over time
I understand what the individual words mean, but this is actually less than the sum of its parts.
What do the laws of physics have to do with politics anyway?
"Lberals categorically declare something to be impossible, such as changes in the laws of physics over time "
What? Like we're all going to wake up one morning and object that were at rest the night before are going to be moving around the room for no apparent reason?
"Sorry! We already have the truth, why would we need to consider what someone else thinks?.. I'm as closed minded as you can get, concerning 'other' gods.

--- The quote directly above this one as I read it on the page. Kinda funny.
As opposed to the “can do” attitudes of conservatives?
Like "gays can't get married" and "you can't teach the ToE in school"?
Get a physics textbook, for crying out loud.
liberal close-mindedness that is not shared by conservatives
liberal close-mindedness that is not shared by conservatives
close-mindedness that is not shared by conservatives
NOT SHARED BY CONSERVATIVES
NOT SHARED
NOT
Sorry...I blacked out for a minute there...what did I miss?
Well once you can come up with a testable hypothesis, we'll test it and see.
Oh wait, you did and you were wrong.
Pup is right. It is possible that physical laws can change over time. We have no evidence of this, and no way to know if it happened at some point in the past, though. But taking "we don't know, but it's theoretically possible" to mean "it has happened" ... is dumb.
Conservatives refuse to allow even the possibility of certain liberal views, and this reflects a conservative close-mindedness that is not shared by liberals. Conservatives categorically declare something to be impossible, such as the possibility of their religious holy book being written by men and not God-inspired.
FIXED
Thanks, Rod Munch (#515771). That song will be stuck in my head all day now...LOL
"We come in peace,
shoot to kill,
shoot to kill,
shoot to kill..."
Confused?
