I'm just sitting here trying to figure out what the third arm would develop out of, and I just can't. I think it's some sort of comment about how women are supposed to say things like "oh, how another pair of hands would be so useful while doing all this housework!"
Ummmmm...no. Definitely would be four arms, and that is EXTREMELY unlikely to happen naturally. Now, with bioengineering, on the gripping hand...
Only if a 3rd arm would significantly increase a woman's chances of surviving through her child-rearing years, and then only if the proper mutations happened.
