Fifty descriptions of people "at the time of the end" that supposedly don't describe people of 50 or more years ago -- of which you list 9 and call them 6. Well, let's at least see whether any of these pan out:
A. Some would depart from the faith and go into devil worship-1 Tim 4:1. This is perfect.
The Black Mass of mediaeval times and Aleister Crowley for the win.
B. People would mock about the last days and not believe-2 Pe 3:3; Jude 18.
Oh, come on. This is just stupid. "I said you wouldn't believe me; that just shows I'm right!" does NOT cut it as support of ANY position. And this is supposed to be divine wisdom?!?
C. People would become lovers of themselves-2 Tim 3:1,2. Remember the TV commercials"I do it for me"?
Narcissists exist in every generation, since long before television; they always have, and always will. Read up on the excesses of various royalty, for example; King Ludwig II of Bavaria comes to mind, for one.
D. People would be disobeying their parents-2 Tim 3:1,2.
Oh, come on! EVERYONE at some time has been disobedient as a child and/or youth, EVER! Socrates ranted against the degeneration of society especially as indicated by insolent youth; people reading his (translated) tirade always assume at first that it is describing their own era. So this is bogus.
E. People would be grateful for nothing-2 Tim 3:1,2.
This one, actually, I can almost grant; I find it endlessly amusing how some people (including myself at times) complain about the problems caused by cars, computers, and other modern conveniences, when in fact the only problem is that they normally provide fantastic services that occasionally are arbitrarily withheld by malfunction.
Still, I doubt that nobody before 1957 ever was a complete sourpuss; I suspect that there always have been some people who would complain if you hung 'em even with a new rope. But since I have no specific examples, I'll let this one go.
F. Homosexuality would increase-Lk 17:28,30; ref Gen 19:5; Ro 1:24,26,27.
No gays/lesbians before 1957? We've got everything from ancient Greece to Oscar Wilde that says otherwise.
G. People would be without self-control in sex-2 Tim 3:1,2,6; Rev 9:21, Lk 17:28,30; Jude 7. Is this not the great sex generation?
Well, more for some of us than others! Seriously, I would have characterized the 1960s/1970s as the "great sex generation" if anything, since that's when the Sexual Revolution took place. But that doesn't mean that self-control was abandoned; it means that the Pill was invented! Besides, prostitution is known as the "oldest profession," and profligate instances of adultery are well documented throughout the ages. So this asinine claim is groundless.
H. People would love pleasures more than God-2 Tim 3:1,2,4. This is true. Shall we go on a picnic, watch football, or sleep. Church?we can go another time. Our American motto "In God we trust" has become a joke. Remember, these were all predicted centuries ago as part of the signs that we are at the time of the end.
Since when is THIS new? Heck, the highly vice-riddled Catholic church of the mediaeval and Renaissance periods shows that even THE CHURCH loved pleasures more than God! And as for "In God We Trust" -- that is an entirely unconstitutional motto that was put on some of our money in the mid-1800s and much more so in the 1950s; it is long overdue for removal. The proper motto, "E pluribus unum," should be reinstated.
I. People would be taking drugs-Rev 9:21. The Greek word for sorceries, in Rev 9:21, means pharmaceuticals or drugs.
No, the Greek word for sorceries means magic. The Greeks had a fairly good grasp of medicine for their day, and they did not consider it magic. Don't just make stuff up to try to prove a point; it just makes you look worse.
God’s Word is 100% right on every one. That’s 6 out of 6. How could you have any doubts at this point?"
Whether this is "God's Word" or not, it is seriously WRONG on at least 8 out of 9, if you actually count these things, and I'm betting it's actually a full 9 out of 9; I just felt like being generous. If that's what you consider "God's Word," your standards for a god are pathetically low.
