I always wondered why women PUSHED for women to get to work in a career then come home & have to care for a family!
HELLO, women HAD it made - talk about the Big Lie lol
1) Actually, the idea that women who work out in the world have to come home and then take care of the family (i.e., prepare dinner, put the kids to bed, etc), is from the conservative side of the house, not the liberal side.
2) If you define "having it made" as being forced to stay at home to take care of the children, being denied a good education (because you don't need it, see), not being allowed a voice in your country, or being told you're nothing without your husband/kids, then I agree, women definitely had it made.
They all but demonized women at home. Truly sad - I always speculate
that this is when the family started to come unglued as more women
left the home & less care & supervision was given to the kids??
1) I agree. There are radical feminists out there who believe that women who choose to be stay at home moms are insane, and not real feminists. The radicals are rare, though. Most feminists that I've spoken to agree that a woman should be free to live her life as she desires, whether that means becoming a CEO of a Fortune 500 company or being a stay at home mom. The important thing is that the woman have that choice.
2) The family started to come unglued back in Genesis 4, when Cain killed Abel because Abel wasn't a vegetarian.
It's typical tho, they can't ever get that pendulum balanced.
In trying to get equality, they pushed women right out their
back doors into being strapped to 8+ hrs of work outside (with all its
stresses & pressure) PLUS inside the home.
Maybe, just maybe, if we stopped insisting that women are the ones responsible for taking care of the family, we wouldn't have this problem. Men and women could, oh, I dunno, share the workload.
