“Atheism is a misconstrue of reality at the most basic level”
Misconstrue, is a verb. You can’t be A Misconstrue. But that’s just reality. Yoy were saying…?
“and has given rise to such harmful ideologies such as Marxism and nihilism.”
Actually, all the nihilists I know are Christains. The guys that say if there were no god, they’d be out there, raping and killing and living as if there were no tomorrow… Probably eating fatty foods and bouncing checks.
And Marxism doesn’t require atheism.
“Most tragic of all though is how deeply irrational atheism is, a form of irrationality that itself almost defies comprehension.”
It has been said that evil can never really understand good.
“The reality of God is manifest all around us, from the unimaginable vastness of our universe with it's hundreds of billions of galaxies to the complex micro-universe of individual cells to elaborate machinations in animal and plant physiology's and the diverse ecosystems the comprise.”
Hopefully your god will smite you for that sentence.
Anyway, I do not see that LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of space requires a divine creator. You’re over-impressed by complexity, but that’s not exactly proof that it requires a deity.
And diversity seems to argue against a creator. Why would he need two solutions to the same problem?
“We can also add to this list the phenomena of human consciousness, moral truths, the existence of beauty, miraculous occurrences and fulfilled biblical prophecies.”
Again, none of those actually require a god. We evolved to use thinking as our survival tool. So we keep getting better at it.
We developed morals so that we could group together without killing each other.
Beauty is too subjective to be the sign of an objective creator. Again, why would he make blondes beautiful to some people and brunettes beautiful to others?
And I have no evidence miracles stand up to scrutiny. They’re always friend of a friend’s testimony.
And it’s funny seeing Christains yap on about bible prophecy. Jesus did NOT meet the prophecies that were supposed to tell us that the Messiah had come, that’s why the Jews aren’t Christains.
“To miss the divine import of any of these aspects of God's creation is to flout reason itself.”
Oh. It’s reason you used. Please repeat the chain of reason that goes from ‘I see a sunset and find it beautiful’ to ‘therefore God.’
“Yet, this is precisely what atheist's do, and it points to the fact that other factors give rise to the denial of God.”
I don’t think that’s what I do, though. I see a big universe, but I do not see WHY that requires a god, much less the specific god described in the Bible. It’s Consistent With your creation story, but not proof of…
“Atheism is not the result of objective assessment of evidence, but of a stubborn disobedience;”
Then show me the evidence and tell me why it is evidence. Not just appeal to big numbers and complex processes…
“it does not arise from the careful application of reason but from wilful rebellion.”
Still waiting for you to show me the reason.
“Atheism is a suppression of truth by wickedness, the cognitive consequence of immorality.”
That’s funny. I pay my taxes, drive at the speed limit, park where parking is allowed, I don’t use drugs without a prescription, and I have never cheated on my wife in 40 years.
Christains, right now, support an adulterer, a felon, a draft-dodger, an embezzler, a thief, a grifter, a racist, with growing dementia, as the man in charge of everything.
“In short, it is sin that is the mother of unbelief.”
Keep telling yourself that.
