If earth spins counter-clockwise, then, it spins from left to right - west to east.

North America being half-way between West and East means the sun rose in the West (left) and will set East (right) as the earth keeps spinning counter-clockwise going from left to right - west to east. This is very clear!

Either the spherical Earth spins clockwise.

Or, earth is flat and spins counter-clockwise explaining the Coriolis effect.

Like niv, I always thought that the flat Earth wibble was associated with a static planet, presumably with a static atmosphere. I didn't think it would have had a Coriolis effect. We know the Earth isn't flat from evidence like the horizon, gravity, and the science of planetary formation.

You only see it that way because American map projections always put it in the centre, and in the UK, USA is seen as the furthest to the west. Greenwich Mean Time was used as the mean solar time because it was devised at a time when the UK was the world's dominant power, but the lines of 0° longitude and latitude could easily have been used to intersect elsewhere on the globe.

This doesn't even make sense. If you look at the earth from above the North Pole and it's spinning counter clockwise, then of course the sun will appear to rise in the east and set in the west.

But if the earth is flat, then it will be daylight and nighttime at the same time everywhere on the planet. I don't know why these dumbasses can't figure this out yet.

I mean, we have worldwide instant global communication these days, and it's easy to see that it's nighttime in other parts of the world when it's day time in ours.
