Creationistic "science" is an approach to science that is desperate to appear valid, in competition with real science which brought us vaccines, airlines and electricity, while denying the validity of real science which brought us the computer that you use to post your goddiddit.

Examples of absurd beliefs of creationistic "scientists":

* that the human species was magically poofed out of dirt.
*that bananas give atheists nighmares.
*that light from distant galaxies, travelling at the speed of light, made the billion years trip in 6000 years.
* that the theory of relativity is a communist plot to attack chritianity.
* that invisible spooks fly around and hide your car keys so you can't go to church. but only to christians.
* that different invisible spooks will chase away the first spooks if you say some magic words.
* there's a giant man with a long white beard who lives on clouds.
* there's another giant man with bat wings and a pitchfork who lives underground and hates the cloud-man.

It's Secular Science, not atheistic, silly!
It's an approach to science that clings to evidence, at the complete exclusion of Biblical myths and legends.
The hallmark of secular science is how it clings to logic and rejects Biblical mumbo-jumbo.

Examples of observed logical science

- that time travel might be possible through wormholes in the universe

None of those things have been disproved and you misrepresented several.

Wormholes could be time/dimensional portholes, no ones gonna travel alive through them.
String theory is not about elastic bands.
large theories cannot be couched in simple sentences exact as labeling devices.

You believe in ridiculous Christian believes as many here have demonstrated only because you insist Atheism be linked with all speculative science. But I'll take another route and list some of the ridiculous right wing fantasies that ARE PROVEN WRONG.

Trickle down economics are good for the working class and job creation.
Austerity programs improve the economy.
Climate change is not occurring.
Even if climate change is occurring, industry and energy use isn't part of it.
Christians are persecuted in America more than any other group.
White rich people aren't privileged.
America was created as a Christian country and most early Americans, and founding fathers were Christians.
The more Christian a country the more peaceful and law abiding it is.

and many other things y'all tell yourselves to keep the delusions alive.

Andy by the way was born to big money, university educated on mommies money meaning he SHOULD know those are bogus beliefs. Now for dumbfuck church raised Republican FoxNews shut ins, beliefs like this are from a locked in system of misinformation.

In the case of Schlafy, O'Reilly, Beck, Santorum, Limbaugh, Perry and too many others these are systematic lies knowingly perpetrated for the maintenance of their elite class built on the backs of their fanbase.

Because science deals only with that which it can prove. Sure, it does have theories, but those are also grounded in previous known facts. It does not take the Bible into account because there is no supernatural phenomenon which has been proved scientifically...

Also, how would the Bible explain this migration? You apparently want to include the Bible into "atheistic" science, but how would you shoehorn it into butterfly migration of all things? Does God lead the butterflies in the form of a pillar of fire? Does it take 40 years for them to arrive? How many commandments did the butterflies recieve atop the Pine Tree of Sinai?

Just because it wasn't explicitly mentioned in the Bible, that doesn't make it nonexistant.

As far as I know, nobody has managed to create dark matter, but it's not less believable than the theory of the universe being poofed into existence by a divine being for whom it took six days, despite being omnipotent.

I don't even know how to respond anymore. Besides the fact that this is undeniable proof Assfly is too dumb to understand science.

Just gonna point out a few.

Multiverse theory? Not an established proof nor believed by all scientists. Though a personal favorite of mine.

Extraterrestrial life? Very, very, very likely. The chances of it not existing are astronomically small.

Black holes are singularities, which means all their mass is concentrated in a "single" point. This gives them their special properties, ergo it is possible for all that mass to be "tiny".

Wasn’t there an experiment where they put pigeons in a room with a changeable magnetic field and the birds changed the course according to the changes? I will see if I can find it.

Uh-oh...looks lilke Andrew accidentally tripped over the Sci-Fi channel and confused it for reality. Again. I mean, time travel? He honestly thinks scientists give any serious thought to time travel?

There are some thought experiments about time travel using a black hole, a white hole (if such a thing exists) and time dilation. But the amount of energy necessary makes it very unlikely that they ever could be reality. Not to mention that you’d not only have to find an actual white hole, but also the black hole that is connected to it. And no one knows if white holes aren’t just mathematical artifacts.

But again, these are just thought games. I always found it fascinating that, allowing for some limitations, the laws of physics as we know them right now do not prohibit time travel.
