High school and college is the defining moment of your life. It sets up everything else. If you missed out on youthful joy (seen in movies and books) you are fucked for life and are socially impaired. It is essential to be a well-adjusted human being.

I actually kind of agree that this is a toxic idea that is heavily, if not consciously or overtly, portrayed in a lot of the media out there directed at younger people. I kind of wonder if it isn't the reason why half the country is chronically depressed.

Guess what: I didn't even touch a penis until I was 30, and I actually think I was better off having it happen later rather than sooner because my judgement as an adult was a hell of a lot better going into that situation than it would've been in high school.

This pretty much proves what I keep saying about how "incels" think that high school has shown them how the world works and they think they've got it all figured out once they're handed their diploma.

In response to his drivel, I didn't have a lot of friends in high school but I have a decent social life now and a pretty good circle of friends. And being honest, I more prefer my own company. I didn't lose my virginity until I turned 20. Never had a girlfriend or had sex while I was in high school but I have had several girlfriends and had sex as well.

There's part of me that almost feels bad for mocking what's clearly a naïve kid who's probably going through the wangsty stage that a lot of teenagers go through.
