Burning a witch was part of the system put in place by God to ensure that the promise of a Saviour was fulfilled.

So... Jesus was burned at stake?
No, wait, he was crucified by a non-abrahamic culture which had no history of witch-burning.
That doesn't make a whole lot of sense even within the context of the Bible.
You being nailed to a cross is part of the system put in place by your 'God' to ensure that the promise of your Saviour was fulfilled; just ask those ultra-devout Christians in the Philippines nailed to such voluntarily & of their own free will every Easter.
The fact this one you're on just happens to be covered with sackcloth soaked in kerosene is to emphasise how your way of thinking is unjustifiable. [/Sauce for the Goose]

This shows a surprising ignorance of fundamental Christian doctrine. Does this idiot even know why God sends his Son to be sacrificed?
Has he even read the Bible?
Why are fundies so ignorant of their own religion?
You should only burn witches if they weigh as much as a duck.
Besides, stoning is the preferred method of execution for the Christian god.
Yeah sure, that's why that verse is in the Old Testament. That's Exodus 22:18. Then. . .you'll try and tell us that all the Mosaic Laws are relegated, except when you want to use them against someone.
So the verse says:
Exodus 22:18
King James Version (KJV)
Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.
That's why, back in the old days, witches were usually hanged rather than burned, both in England, then at Salem. Which is less barbaric. . .slightly.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
