The Scripture does not even envision married couples who choose not to have children. The shocking reality is that some Christians have bought into this lifestyle and claim childlessness as a legitimate option. The rise of modern contraceptives has made this technologically possible. But the fact remains that though childlessness may be made possible by the contraceptive revolution, it remains a form of rebellion against God's design and order.

Couples are not given the option of chosen childlessness in the biblical revelation. To the contrary, we are commanded to receive children with joy as God's gifts, and to raise them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. We are to find many of our deepest joys and satisfactions in the raising of children within the context of the family. Those who reject children want to have the joys of sex and marital companionship without the responsibilities of parenthood. They rely on others to produce and sustain the generations to come.

as a Christian there are some rights not afforded to us.

[Um, which rights exactly?]

How about the right to return violence with violence? Or how about the right to be pompous and arrogant and self-righteous?

There are many people that can and are afforded the opportunity to act in the above ways. Christians are given no such luxury.

Mike Huckabee #fundie beliefnet.com

Q [Beliefnet]: Is it your goal to bring the Constitution into strict conformity with the Bible? Some people would consider that a kind of dangerous undertaking, particularly given the variety of biblical interpretations.

A [Huckebee]:Well, I don’t think that’s a radical view to say we’re going to affirm marriage. I think the radical view is to say that we’re going to change the definition of marriage so that it can mean two men, two women, a man and three women, a man and a child, a man and animal. Again, once we change the definition, the door is open to change it again. I think the radical position is to make a change in what’s been historic.

Now let us talk about the most flawed scientific theory, the Quantum Theory. It is even worse than the Theory of Evolution. Evolution seemed to have purpose towards higher organization and complexity but Quantum Theory states that things just happen randomly, without any purpose or guidance. To ridicule this theory Albert Einstein simply said, “God does not play dice with the universe”.

Other fields of science are also riddled with theories that have gaps and flaws. Without going into too much detail I can name a few. Genetic Theory, Cell Theory, Dinosaur Theory, Old Earth Theory, Moving Continents Theory, Round Earth Theory, Rotation on Axis theory, etc are all flawed theories. I would like to end with the words from Tom Cruise, the greatest actor of our time, “Psychiatry is not a science but it is a pseudo-science.” Therefore, we should actually stop teaching science in schools because it is all just pseudo-science.

After 4.53 Billion years, Evolution had Not produced even 1 Human Civilization. Suddenly, some 10,000 + - years ago, Noah arrived on this Planet. Less than 100 miles south of the mountains of Ararat, the 1st evidences of Human Civilization are observed.

It is the land of Mesopotamia which contains this Earth's first Human Civilization. NO man could have told us that our 1st Civilization is traceable to Noah and his grandsons, but God told us this more than 3,000 years ago.

For years, Evols have searched in vain for a Human Civilization older than that which is written in Scripture. There is NONE, because Noah brought Human Intelligence and Civilization to this Planet, after their World was destroyed by Water.

This, of course, means that Macro is a Lie and God's Holy Word is the Truth. We did not Evolve our Human Intelligence. We inherited it from Adam, exactly as God told us we did.

If Noah had not left his world and came to this Planet, we would still be innocent Apes, because Evolution does NOT produce Humans. Human Intelligence must be inherited from another Human. Had it been the case, Evolutionism could have done it Millions/Billions of years ago.

[A few believers of the 23 Minutes in Hell story (a.k.a. Pascal's Wager Time!)]

ChildofGod90: I as well feel sorry for those who mock this story, or our Lord Jesus Christ for that matter. Saying this all isnt true may be your perception. But there is great amounts of evidence that the Bible and the Lord is the one Truth. SO maybe for the first time, consider this, what if your WRONG?, what if your perception and rejection of Christ will lead you to this horrific place? Put yourself in that cell in that environent, no way out. sure we dont know if Wiese's story was a reality or just a mere dream, but the truth remains the same, Hell is real, the Bible speaks on it, its for eternity, FOREVER!

Undertow: I feel very sorry for all the non-believers who have posted here... It is sad since many of you have totally missed the point of this Man's account... You the story in and of itself is not the message, this isn't a "scared straight" message... This book is to encourage people to read and understand the Bible. The specific experience that this man endured is not greater than the Truth that has already been written in the Bible. The Bible is the book of truth but many, myself included, have never read it... Its stories like these that trigger one to do their Truths... Furthermore, the saddest part about reading these blogs is that many are saying the good go to heaven and the bad go to hell... who are we to determine who is "good enough" to go to heaven. Human standards are not the standards which determine everlasting life.

joninokc007: 23 Minutes in Hell will make impact on people who already believe i Christianity, and will be a source of amusement to the atheists and science types who pigeon hole all paranormal experience into insanity, dreams, hallucination, or mental illness. This is how the world is. Perceptual boxes can be very airtight, and systems of beliefs can be as airtight The problem is, everyone dies, and if there is an afterlife, it is handy to prepare for it. It is easy to accept uncritically the party line of the state and science that you are a shaved monkey and helpless tool of the powers that be in society, but what if they lied, and reality is much more complex and supernatural than you were told.

(On Paul Vitz's book Faith of the Fatherless, which claims that atheism is caused by having a bad relationship with one's father in childhood.)

Atheism IS a zero on the spiritual health scale because atheism denies the existence of spirits, and therefore must also conclude that there is no such thing as "spiritual health" at all. So spiritual health, according to atheism, is equal to zero because it is totally non-existent.

Anyone who has taken the time to READ Vitz's actual book knows that he does not make "ridiculous over-generalizations." He specifically points out and addresses the fact that there are exceptions to his theory.

But as long as we're presenting anecdotal evidence, let me have a go: My Dad spent EVERY day with me growing up, as did my Mom. If your dad only spent a measly 3 days a week with you growing up, your childhood was an appalling travesty.

Try reading Vitz's actual book all the way through BEFORE you judge it. How does that sound?

[A recent poll found that 55 percent of Americans believe the U.S. Constitution establishes a Christian nation. What do you think?]

I would probably have to say yes, that the Constitution established the United States of America as a Christian nation. But I say that in the broadest sense. The lady that holds her lamp beside the golden door doesn't say, “I only welcome Christians.” We welcome the poor, the tired, the huddled masses. But when they come here they know that they are in a nation founded on Christian principles.
