Actually, there are probably far more Muslims in America, as American citizens, than in Europe. And the conversion rate to Islam among American blacks is high. So move over Fundies and make room.
I'm going to assume that you're among the crowd that thinks every muslim is a fundamentalist. And of course not the peaceful fundamentalists (that greatly outweigh the suicide bombing violent ones by the way) but of course the murderous extremists. They want everyone to convert to Islam or die, preferrably the former mind you, but they tend to have little patience. How exactly does a large number of atheists in Europe advance their cause?

Religious persecution also has its good sides, the crazies are not in Europe, for example.
