Granted that the Bible can be gory and explicit in certain areas, I don't recall seeing passages about people having STDs from sexual immorality.
In fact the Bible only speaks of a few out of many many medical problems that exist.
AIDS, Syphillis and other VD are contracted by heterosexual sex. Please, don´t tell me now that heterosexuality is also forbidden in the Bible. And by the way, Lesbians aren´t so infected as their male counterparts, how do you explain it?
So God prohibited homosexuality to protect us from certain diseases. Why did He create those diseases and then allow them onto the Ark? That's right: to punish those who break His prohibition on homosexuality.
Oh, and I've never brought up lesbians and HIV without getting one of three reactions: furious backpedaling, pretending not to have heard, or banning me and deleting my post.

One would think if Gawd was going to make a disease to "Kill Gays" sHe could have had better aim. All those same diseases affect straight people and in larger numbers.

And those diseases would be what? There are no diseases that are associated exclusivly with homosexuality, nor are there any diseases that gays may have thatare not just as prevalent, if not moreso, in the heterosexual population.

Except that the prohibition in the bible has nothing to do with disease prevention and therefore to consider it as "exhibiting knowledge that was ahead of its time " is infering upon the bible claims it did not make and knowledge it did not possess and is simply not true.
The Bible also says you should break a cow's neck at the site of an unsolved murder (Deuteronomy 21:4) but I have never heard of any fundie doing this.
And the Bible is ahead of its time? The Bible is just an ancient book with the same truth quotient as The Faerie Queene by Edmund Spenser.
States "one of the many examples" while providing none. Fundie bullshit, a continual unsupported claiming of something peppered with "once again" and "still true to this day" and "one of the many prophecies that have proven it's truth".

Hm. I've heard it said that the Bible lacks explicit prohibition against lesbianism. Meanwhile, lesbians have smaller rates of STDs.
Maybe Conservapedia has a point there. ;-)
except that there isn't a disease problem in the lesbian community, and if gay men take the proper precautions, they are just as healthy as anyone else.
