That being said, I'm certain that the drag queen homosexual who is engaged to a man that plans on having genital mutilation surgery to become a woman, is sitting back in his pantyhose and hi heels smiling knowing that there are Christians out there that believe he has some kind of "right" to teach America's children, to work in daycare facilities, or to mentor youth in the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, or the rest of the long list of youth mentor organizations that have allowed openly (i.e. proud and unrepentant) homosexuals into their organizations.

A transgender m2f woman won't attract that many gay men, as she's a woman. On the other hand, you can fall in love with a person, regardless of that person's gender, and whether the gender changes, the person is still the same person. Human nature is not a game of chess with only black or white.

There are quite a few drag queens who look much better in pantyhose and high heels than many women.

Civil rights are for everyone, not just a selected privileged elite (e.g. white-heterosexual-male). When it comes to children, no-one has the RIGHT to teach or take care of them, as the Convention on the Rights of the Child goes above and beyond almost all other conventions. No-one, who has abused a child in any way, shape or form, ought to be in close proximity to a child ever again.

They also allow proud and unrepentant heterosexuals into their organizations. As most child molesters are heterosexual males, if any group is to be kept away from children, it's straight men. Are you a straight man, aCW? Have you stopped abusing kids yet, yes or no?

Huh... Whaa??? I thought Christians were amongst the very people, who bought about this period of tolerance. To make a reference to physics and engineering, the fundies are moving to the extreme right with reference to the rest of the Christian crowd, who have been moving left at a steady pace with reference to the 1800s. So, who actually is a true Christian, a mainstream Christian who acts in the spirit of tolerance and love, which fundies ironically claim to have originated from Christianity, or a reactionary who doesn't budge for anything. As a physics student who believes that all events are relative, I am inclined towards the former.

Being that it's me he's talking about, I feel I should say something.

While it's true that I am a drag queen (yes, that's a picture he posted of me in the thread, he stalks me) and that my girlfriend is a transsexual, aCultureWarrior has made quite the drama queen of himself. I think it bothers him that I'm not a drag addicted, disease ridden, sex crazed, alcoholic, chain smoking degenerate.

Do I believe I have a right to teach children? No more than I have a right to work in any other field. The consenting adult I share my life with is not part of any job qualifications nor should such disqualify me for a job. Same goes for the hobby that consumes my spare time. Performing on stage in a frock doesn't make me a bad person.

Oh no, someone who cross dresses in his spare time and is engaged to a trans woman could get a job around children! That's bad because... because... you didn't really provide a valid reason as to why that's so awful. It's as if you think those things are so bad that all you had to do was mention them, but they're not. You're just a closed-minded idiot.
