A moid is just a primitive, defective parasitic machine who wants the world to be free and open for him to indulge. Free and open, but only for him. Because this would never manifest without him first being anointed “god” of reality (the whole universe agrees he is the main character), he is just an angry, confused, ineffective thing. He has to come up with strange coping mechanisms to explain the incongruity between his idea of the universe where he himself is god, and the real universe where he isn’t.
Compartmentalization is one of these copes. Where he rightfully assesses that the outside world constantly denies him, so he makes an “alt” mode in cases where he sees he can take/indulge. When the conditions do not exist for him to successfully benefit from his “alt” mode, it also doesn’t exist. Seeking sex (goon alt), seeking connection (yearn alt). The post nut-clarity phenomenon they speak of demonstrates this very clearly. It’s a total alt shut-down, tied to a very specific material condition (arousal vs refractory period).
