From Genesis to Revelation? No, it's mentioned twice - once where it's put on the same level of evil as eating shellfish and once where Paul includes it in a long list of stuff you're not supposed to do and then goes on to say that everyone does one of these things so no-one has any right to judge anyone else who does.

I've also read arguments that the Bible is for homosexuality since Jesus issued some (And even contradicted by other gospels) removals of the bans.
But viewing benevolent higher powers through the lens of the Iron Age is not wise. Would have been wise in the middle ages for Europe to listen to their holy bible. Nowadays? Not so much. Basically gone past it from being benevolent to being the last refuge of bigotry.

When they cease being, you know, SECULAR, and start actually paying attention to what your god supposedly said. On top of that, they would need to become a rather fundamentalist sort of believer that takes the Bible literally. There are plenty of denominations of Christianity that are perfectly comfortable with ignoring the more hateful portions of it as outdated superstitions that no longer apply in the modern world.
Personally, when god shows up in person, proves taht in fact he IS god, and then confirms he objects to same sex relationships.
At which point I'll politely suggest he simply doesn't engage in them himself, and let everyone else do as they please.

The whole accusing people of being brain dead for not following your religion is dumb. We all have our interactions with the spiritual and what it means to each of us. Think of it as a sliding scale of belief of X and an intensity as a Y. So an intense believer is a fundie, an intense non-believer is a militant atheist. A strong believer without intensity might see the Bible (Or Quran) as very true and live their life that way, but won't display it very greatly outwardly. Non-believer could work that way.
The glorious thing in America, as long as your beliefs don't violate civil laws, all these things should be valid. As a fluctuating Y on the middle of the X, well. Hey, works for me.
