The Office of the State Auditor of Utah has no policing powers, at least in the normal sense of the term. The most they can do is “suspend disbursement of funds” to any state government employee or agency which is behaving “contrary to law”. In the rare cases when some form of policing is needed, they’re supposed to hand over the relevant information to the FBI and let them deal with it. So it’s a real stretch to call it “false police reports”.

The only thing they could realistically do with this information is that if they can establish a pattern of some government agency consistently allowing trans people to use the “wrong” facilities, in which case they can cut off funding. Which isn’t nothing, but even without the flooding, it’s hard to see how they can get enough evidence to justify a proper investigation. (The office has specifically stated that it can’t afford to investigate every random maybe-incident.)

Now cyberterrorism? I mean, this is sort of like a DDOS attack, and there’s no universally agreed-upon standard of what counts as terrorism, so I’d maaaybeee grant that. Not necessarily in a legal sense, though. But it’d be a pretty snowflakey concept of terrorism, held by snowflakes who would insist that their own attempts to spread fear don’t count.

Yeah, that’s the ticket. I’m all in favor of taxing Karens to be nosy bitches, and it’d be worth it to each radical to pay at least $5 to fuck the system. Som eof us may even budget up to $30.
