It probably spread to humans through butchering primates for food. They eat monkeys in some areas, and it's not exactly uncommon for someone to cut themselves accidentally while slicing raw meat.

Jordab, they haven't directly, but race politics are far from over in this country. The GOP wants to enforce a poll tax or voter ID that would prevent thousands of blacks from voting. George W. Bush was an avowed racist who used blacks to his advtange. Small wonder he didn't give a toss when New Orleans was destroyed. And point of fact is that the Civil Rights Act still has to reinstated by a vote on every few years, so our Congress still has the power to take away black Americans' rights if they feel like it.
Now, I am not a fan of Obama, who I perceive as too liberal on social issues, but it is fun finally watching white voters squirm for a change. ;)
