I just adore how far right conservatives think that an organization like the US military, which is staffed disproportionately by conservatives, will attack conservatives. Soldiers aren't robots, people.

Ah, people who want one ideology and one religion to dominate over all others to the extent of viewing all who are in any way different demanding equal rights as directly attacking their right to exist. All the while, they hark back to a golden age and look forward to a millennium of eternal triumph in opposition to the death of culture and civilization they envisage should their opponents be in any way accommodated. It was this nightmare, endorsed by Axis Sally, that hundreds of thousands of brave Americans died to prevent. Those GIs fought for the Four Freedoms. Never forget it.
