I know many people who were Catholics and the LORD HIMSELF led them out. They serve God with their whole lives and are giants in the faith today. I also know people who have only recently come out of Catholicism and have received Jesus Christ FOR THE FIRST TIME---not ever having understood what their religion actually was teaching, but were heavily involved in it---and the spiritual growth in them is phenomenal, palpable. They all tell of confusion and the lack of satisfaction in tradition, knowing there was something more that they needed---they were spiritually STARVING! They all are grateful to God for hearing their heart's cry and leading them out of what has become a dead religion of works and traditions based on false perceptions of the truth.

I have to wonder why they were starving for real spiritual food and that no one came to their rescue.

My husband and I refused to attend his brother's wedding, where he had divorced his first wife, divorced his second, and married another. We could not witness a person making a mockery of the most intimate of human relationships. We loved his brother dearly, but his frivolity concerning marriage was not something we could sanction, or allow our three young daughters to be influenced by.

Whenever I encounter Satan at work, I tell him out loud to hit the road, in Jesus' name. Having had demonic encounters in our home in the past, I dealt with it by declaring our home a place where Jesus dwells and is welcome, but the works of the enemy are not, and I prayed at that time through my whole house--every room and every closet---declaring it a place for the Lord's glory alone, and I did anoint with oil the door frames of each doorway, including our front door. Then we fasted and prayed for deliverance of the family member so affected, and sent her to a place where she would receive help and deliverance.

We've moved since, and our children are now grown, but we have declared our property, at its very perimeter, as belonging to God and revealing His glory. It is hallowed ground because we belong to God.

Homosexuality is something God hates, so one who indulges is sinning. One who says he is a Christian while blatantly sinning in that way is deceived, and most likely has never had a reckoning with God about his sin...because he is deaf to the promptings of Holy Spirit about it.

The world is not "growing" or advancing in its acceptance of these things. It is devolving and spinning out of control due to the weight of sin and deception brought about by the ruler of the world, Satan. The world is quickly stumbling into dissipation and will roll right into the Great Tribulation.

Is eating dessert a sin?
I know this may sound very silly, but bear with me. This is only an example; I ask this of many other things we do for pleasure that we think (or at least, that I have not thought) are not wrong. These include things that we spend time on (hobbies) and things that we spend money on.
I ask this because it seems that doing these things is bad compared to doing more godly things. For example, buying something that I don't need but is only for pleasure seems like a sin compared to giving the money to someone in need. Spending time playing videogames seems sinful compared to spending time witnessing to others about Jesus.
These simple things we do for pleasure seem selfish and won't matter in the end, when we are in heaven, but serving God will have mattered. Does this mean these things are sinful?
