[Why would God make wings for birds that never fly?]
Evolution involves the changing of species, even at genetic level. People becoming fat because of diet and lack of excercise doesn't mean there is an evolution in human!
Why did God make wing-animal that doesn't fly? If they did, would you have food? That is God's purpose (Of course spiritually speaking, since there is no reference to this point, but since you raised it up and want to know why)

Well... yes, since flightless birds are not our only food source that can't easily get away.
Perhaps you've heard of these animals known as "cows" and "pigs?"
Then there are a multitude of things called "fruits and vegetables," which grow from the ground and have absolutely NO chance of escaping, should we decide we're hungry.

What?
Aside from the kiwi, every single flightless bird has wings. Goddit has no answer, evolution does. Evolution wins.

So close, yet so far, priceless.

Yes. Yes I would. Early, primitive science, gave us the know-how to construct a device known as a "bow and arrow". Before that we caught birds on the ground in traps. Of course, we mustn't forget all the non-avian creatures we were eating as well.
It's called 'hunting'. You take a gun, and your mates, and you get into your pick-up and drive out into the woods, and you stalk around until you see a bird, and you shoot the fucker. We've been doing that for centuries, and before that we had other ways of catching flying birds.
If pigs could fly, we'd be able to catch them too.
Some birds, like the ostrich, or the penguin, don't have flying kinda wings because they don't need them: they get on fine the way they are. That's an aspect of evolution: what you don't need can eventually evolve out of the species. It's why we humans don't have tails, although we have vestigial indications that our distant ancestors once upon a time did.
I'm afraid I can't explain why men still have nipples. You'll have to ask God.
fergus
I had a nice chunk of wingless bison meat for dinner last night, so yeah, I'd still have food.
And what the hell is a "wing-animal"?

What the hell are you talking about?

Chickens and turkeys aren't the only birds that don't fly, dumbass.
I'd like to see this idiot go hand to hand with an Ostrich. $50 on the ostrich.
Then again, I don't think he truly understands what buffalo wings are.
If you refer to kiwi birds, they had few natural predators and hence little need to fly.
Chicken flew better before humans BRED the poorly-flying ones.
You may also like to know that pigs, during the Roman empire, were much more similar to boars than they now are.
Flightless birds have wings because they were descended from other birds with wings. Yes, I know, that's being simple, but consider who's asking.
Confused?
