The insanity of treating ones spouse as a slave aside, what sense does this make?
It doesn't say that it's conditional, but it doesn't say that it's not either. I would think that a kind, loving God would want to save women in an abusive relationship. If the husband doesn't love and respect her like Jesus loves the Church, the wife should not have to submit to her husband as she submits to God. Precisely because no one is righteous, no not one.
Uh, it also says people should follow the law... and it's illegal to beat people, and it's illegal to let someone beat your kids so... even Biblically it is correct to leave an abusive slimbag.
Call me "radical" and "freaky", but I prefer a woman with a personality, feelings, intelligence, and a sense of humor, not a robot.
For those of you having trouble with B, it's saying, "No husband is sinless, but a wife still has to follow him anyway. After all, how can women refuse to follow someone unless he's sinless? No one is sinless. We couldn't bond our women to slavery if they only had to follow sinless men!"
Don´t expect many people to submit to a religion that singles out people by default. Among other things, because you´re nullifying the notion of sin. If the wife is to submit to the husband for no good reason, she is not asuming any personal responsability for her acts.

If you beat your wife you do not love her and therfore you are disobeying the bible.
So, the American colonies under the British Empire should have never rebelled?
