How many homosexuals are republicans? How about pedophiles? How many republican scandals are being covered up by democrats? How many republicans are betrayed by other republicans? The answer to all these questions are Zero. Foley was a democrat operative, no doubt sent in to provide a "Black eye" to the party he was misrepresenting. However the facts are on the table, he was a Democrat. Why do you think the democrats are under attack now? Because he supported a pedophile just because he was in their party.
The democrats have had a long time in putting operatives under "false" aliases and then later pretend to be a victim. Richard Nixon and Watergate. And let us not forget Clinton and Gerry Studds.

He was not covered up by democrats, they were not in his party, IT WAS THEIR RESPONSABILITY TO DO THAT. And the republicans didn´t ousted him, he resigned. I insist in alternative bizarro universe.
However, look at Hungary, when there is a big scandal that can damage the image of a party, their hardline followers try to make excuses to despise it. This guy, regardless of his affiliation, is no exception.
Foley is a republican. Hastert covered up what he's been doing for years. This is not a Democrat vs. Republican scandal, it's a scandal period. You people are always all about blame, blame blame.

I recall Fox News (who else) tried pulling off the Foley=democrat thing. About a day into the scandal, they were listing him as D-(er, I forget the state)...
They stopped after people picked up on it, but between that and limbaugh there's likely a large mass of bible-belters that still believe it.

About 5 to 10 percent of the population is homosexual, so I guess that 5 to 10 percent of the Republicans are homosexuals. As homosexuals are not that welcome among conservatives in general, I'd also guess that it's closer to 5 than 10. Fewer than 5 percent of males are pedophiles, the number for women is not known.
The definition of a Democrat is not "a person I dislike", silly! It's "a person who is a member of, or votes for, the Democratic party".
