"A gay person can claim they are Christian, follow the Christian Bible, go to Christian church, and worship the Christian god. Why do you think they can't do that?"

You couldn't be more wrong. If they "follow the Christian Bible" then they wouldn't be gay. If they worshiped the Christian God, they wouldn't be gay. You really shot yourself in the foot on that one.

"Homosexuality is seen as a sin in Christianity. But all sinners can come to Christianity. So, you're wrong. Gays can become Christians."

Only if they stop the sin, namely of being gay. So again, no gay Christians. Christianity teaches and promotes repentance of sin, not the embracing of it. That applies equally to heterosexuals engaging in their activities outside of marriage as it does to homosexuals.

"Then all they'd have to do is stop acting gay, really. No gay activity, no "gay" in your mind (even though they're still homosexual at heart), and presto-changeo, they're Christian. According to your own logic, that someone isn't gay if they aren't acting on it, means that all they'd have to do is stop acting on it, and they can be Christian."

Still incorrect. Not only do they have to refrain from acting on those feelings, they have to work continuously to overcome those feelings altogether, not secretly harboring them in their heart.
