Expanding the First Amendment beyond the Christian denominations was a mistake.
The 1A was written to keep Christian denominations who are in 90% theological agreement from killing each other over what the sacraments mean. Anyone who thinks it suffices to keep adherents of alien creeds from over the horizon at peace is contradicted by logic and history.

Huh….tell me again, where is it that the First Amendment mentions Christianity, or God, or the Bible, or anything like that? No, not there? Surely it’s somewhere in the Constitution, right?
Does that include the establishment clause? If so expanding it would be something you now support. If not then I can express my love and respect for Isis the wife of Osiris, Freyja, the Morrigan, Tyr, Nephthys, Bast, Oshun, Syf and Thor to my heart's desire. Thus giving me freedom of religion as now non Christians wouldb't be bound to establishment clause. Pick your poison. You lost either way
The government of the United States is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion
-George Washington
Very forward -thinking was he & his fellow Founding Fathers.
Something created by Sunrise in 1979: 'Alien' by Western standards, otherwise there would have been mecha animated series created by, say, Hanna-Barbera before then. That something? A very Japanese scenario which your adherence to contradicts literary originality , Bri.
As someone in another Sci-Fi scenario would say, 'That is not logical'.
Meanwhile, a 4th series of another scenario has been greenlit by the mainly Disney-owned streamed service Hulu. And when they've got it's creator Margaret Atwood working on the adaptation of "The Testaments" which is the sequel to her own literary work "The Handmaid's Tale" - soon to be said 4th series - let us know when anyone's interested in your "Gundam" ripoff.
Said original works by her show what happens when the likes of you get exactly what you want. Gee, I wonder why that story is a dystopian one: can you, Bri...?!
And why it'll have it's 4th series...?!
If you limit free speech to Christians, Christians will be persecuted. All the government would have to do to get around the Constitutional protection is to declare that the Christians they want to oppress, all together now…AREN’T TRUE CHRISTIANS, and therefore the First Amendment doesn’t apply to them.
What color is the sky in your world, Bri-Bri?
First Amendment was written to ensure freedom of and from religion. It always included all religions.
People of different Christian denominations have been killing each other over relatively small differences, for over a thousand years. Is that what you mean with “90 % theological agreement”?
Confused?
