Let's forget about Africa, the Americas and anywhere else Christianity has spread by preaching and by the sword. Let's just look at the present day in a dirty, liberal, half-commie country like Sweden.
I live there and I often get accosted by various kinds of Christians knocking on my door and stopping me on the streets, handing me tracts and pamphlets and useless platitudes. And I know for a fact that it's much worse in many other places.
So, you, uhm, what's the word? Ah, you fail. That's it.

I don't know. You guys are the experts at doing for other religions in order to justify not believing in them. How many times has a good Christian distorted what Muslims believe? And, don't get me started on what you've done to the Jews!
Oh, yes, you DO impose your beliefs on others. Crusades. Inquisition. The rape and pillage of Natives, along with the theft of their land, and attempted eradication of Native ways and languages...
My missionary parents disagree. I don't know any atheists who outright lie about your faith. Joking with outrageous claims I've seen, but no intent to lie just to irk people or cause them to drop the faith. I use logic and reasoning for those purposes, personally.

Lieing your ass off to get to make them pick up the faith is perfectly acceptable.
You know, I've been called crazy by atheists before because of my beliefs, but I can't say they've ever "poisoned me with lies," just sayin' that's held for a very select few religions - BACs and Wiccans mostly, but that's just my experience.
So, wait, those "pro-life" protesters outside of Planned Parenthood, the group that brought you Prop. 8 and every other piece of legislation this year that prohibited either same sex or "single" people from adopting children, those protesters at gay funerals and at the funerals of servicemen that say that the reason our troops are dying over seas is because of gays, the people who come to my house to "save" me, all of the missionaries that travel to other countries to convert people...They aren't pushing their beliefs on anyone else? Wow, can I get a day pass to the version of reality you live in?
